Hi! Josephine had a ton of siblings! In the 1860 census, Pitman, age 46, born KY, and his wife, 35 year old Susan, born Tennessee, are in Carrollton County, Missouri, with the following kids: Francis, age 18, Laura, age unclear, but also looks like 18, Susan, age 14, Lewis, age 12, mary, age 10, William, age 6, Martha, age 3, and Alfonzo, age 1. Also living with this family is a 75 year old Susan SHEARWOOD, born PA. Also, listed with the family is an Adaline Cook.
In 1879 this family is living in Richmond, ray County, Missouri. In addition to mom and dad, we hae the following kids: Louis, Marietta, age 18, William, age 16, Martha, age 14, Josephine and Sarah B. both age 10.
I have not yet looked for these folks in any other censuses, but you may want to try your luck at:www.familysearchlabs.org where you will be able to see him and the family in the 1850, 60 and 80 censuses for free, if you have adobe acrobat. Also an L Pitman Frazer, who may be Louis??
Also, you if you google Missouri death index, you will find a link to Missouri digital archives that you can search for death certificates and actually see many of them without a fee. Just watch your years of availability.
