John Lewis's father was William Lewis, b. 1817. Joseph is William's father, J. L.'s grandfather.
As far as my statement about J.L.'s children being accounted for, I was referring to descendents. I should have worded that a little differently.
Thomas I have noticed that you have a lot of exp. researching, I have seen your other posts. If you could solve the Joseph Cunningham mystery, you would accomplish what no other researcher has! None of the databases have anything other than Joseph being born in 1786 in PA., his wife was Elizabeth, b. NC. As far as I know this Joseph is not related to Hugh. It all would be quite simple if he had been Joseph IV. If I was a rich woman, I would offer a reward. It has been frustrating.
