Not related....just a lookup. You might want to recheck the replies to your old postings...appears misc info on this family group has already been sent to you back in 2007 from different forums. . Always a good idea to print out the replies so you can add them to your family research binder for later review. It's easy to forget what you already have and what you still need. Each little piece of data helps fill in the puzzle. Both marriages for Myrtle & her dob/dod was sent to you ....ordering a copy of her 'original' social security application should show her parents names. Sister, Opal, is living with her on the 1930 census. Already sent to you. 1900 Colorado census...which supports the birth dates you have for William Edward Carter & Amanda Lee Breckenridge. Already sent to you. FYI: on this census roll it lists occupation for William as R/R section hand.....he works for the railroad. 1920....son Stanton is living with 'mandys' brother. The earlier census with Breckenridge sister & brother in household was already sent to you. ____ I dont know if you already have these: William E. Carter of Bigelow, Holt Co, Missouri md: 22 Nov 1896 in Holt Co, Missouri Amanda L. Brackenridge of Bigelow, Holt Co, Missouri filed: 30 Dec 1896 ***I viewed the original marriage record entry for the Holt County Marriages. ______ William Edward Carter did not die until 30 apr 1932 in Buchanan County, MO. He went on to marry a woman named Zora and they are on the 1930 MO, Buchanan Co, St Joseph City census. From the census record they also had children together. To view his death record: http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/#search imput: William Carter.........apr 1932..... select: Buchanan county ....nothing else.... Where he is buried is also listed on the above document. Wife Zora died: Social Security Death Index Name: Zora Carter SSN: Last Residence: 64505 Saint Joseph, Buchanan, Missouri, United States of America Born: 5 Jun 1890 Died: Jul 1970 State (Year) SSN issued: Missouri (Before 1951 ) Looks like Buchanan County, Missouri holds lots of clues for you. Need to order marriage records, death records, check for OBITS & check Cemetery record...Even an Obit for Zora might list kids from William's first marriage. They may even have 'delayed' birth records for some of the kids. Never know where the next 'piece' of the puzzle will come from. Try this site for more places to write to: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobuchan/Resources.htm This is a long shot.... but this might be your Stanton E. Carter....this record states 1900 but he might have lied about his age to get into the military. I checked census records and I couldnt find a Stanton Carter born Jan 1900. Ordering a copy of his death record may show parents names; of checking with the cemetery; or ordering a copy of his 'original' social security application. This application was one of the few documents filled out by the person themself....death records are filled out by others and often contain errors or omissions.
