Given the odd spellings of things in the census, this looks to be your "Schenkel" family:
1870 Pine Creek,Ogle,IL
"Shinkle",Ferdinand-29;farmer;born Baden
wife-Eva-26;born Hess-Darmstadt
daughter-Amelia-3;born IL
daughter-Elvira-2;born IL
then in White Cloud Twp.,Nodaway,MO 1880
"Schingler",Ferdinand-39;farmer;born Baden
wife-Eva-36;born Baden
daughter-Amelia-13;born IL
daughter-Elvira-12;born IL
son-William-7;born IL
son-John-6;born IL
daughter-Leo?-1;born MO (name badly written-best guess!)
in 1910 Ferdinand and Eva live in Green,Nodaway,MO;have been married for 44 years;she has had 6 children and all are alive.
Next door or on the same farm is son John F. and his wife Jennie; she is 32 and he is 36; have been married for 10 years and have had three children, all survive; Earnest age 9,Otis age 7 and Clara age 2.
Ifyou will go here:
http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/
You will find the death certificate for Eva,surname spelled "Schenckel"; she died on Feb.6,1911 in Nodaway County; Ferdinand will be found in Phelps County, and he died on Apr.9,1912;son John Ferdinand died in Sept of 1943 in Nodaway county;daughter Elvira (married Elihu Busby in 1888) died Sept 1942 in Nodaway county.
