Thanx for your response--I'b been checking out leads for Lavina for about 5 yrs--my aunt had done cursory family tree, long before computers--after sorting thru the errors, couldn't determine Lavina's last name. After my mother's death, I found my baby book, with her listed it as Platt, and born in MO, however, a number of censuses of John and her, show her and her parents being born in IN. I posted questions to forums after unsuccessfully finding anything about her, and got 2 excellent notes full of info--with the pattern of naming children, sounds like I'm on the right track. Lavina A. was born in Boone Co, IN, apparently moved to Franklin TWP, Linn co and married my ggrandfather John Lewis Wright before 1880, had 2 children that didn't survive, then Harry (my gfather) and Buel. Was buried Mt. Olive Baptist Church Bascom, Jackson Co january 1895; where John remarried Carrie E. Smith in 1898. Where they continued to live for at least the 1900 Census---Linn, Jackson, District 77. According to other notes about the Platts, they apparently migrated south also, Genoa was listed as a sibling. One of errors I've consistently seen are mixing up Jackson TWP and CO. Would really like to visit the area this summer, and check out some of this info.
