I think you might be looking for these folks, the Gibson living with John M Boyce, may not have been the mother of Pruda, as it was spelled on the 1860 census.

1840 only one I could find that resembled a Terry ,was T Eccles in Norfolk County VA age 30-40 unmarried all alone.
Ancestry family trees has only one entry on a Terry/Terrence Eccles, no dates, and son of a Jess Allen Eccles, and gs of an Ivan and Evelyn. but nothing else and may not even fit in.
