hi Nancy, thanks for the reply. boy i do not have much on Ida Cox, but here is what i do know. she married George Green in 1885 in Pike county, Missouri. her father was present and gave his concent. no name. have marriage license. she is in the 1900 census. Lincoln co. Missouri with husband George Green a fisherman. and 6 children. Ida is 30 & married 15 years. Theodore Dowell is living just below them.... in 1910 i can not find any of the family.... In 1919 Ida's daughter Velma Dowell, marries Harry Turner and Ida gives her permission as Mrs Ida Miller. in 1920 census Velma and Harry Turner are living in St. Louis, Missouri ward 7 [ Independent City] with his mother Rena Turner. have Velma's marriage license. in Velma's society security application she sates her father as Theodore Dowell and mother as Ida Cox. Velma is born 1906 according to soc. sec. records. and she had one brother Harry Dowell, born 1903, in 1920 was in the navy in Cuba, aboard the USS Arizonia, is killed in WW11. next of kin is sister Inez Newhouse. [ she is a half sister] have her soc. sec application father George Green and mother Ida Cox. have no idea who Ida Cox's parents are. or when she died or where. married Geo.Green in Pike Co Mo. is in St. Louis in 1919 - can't find marriage to Dowell or Miller nor a death for Theodore Dowel, George Green or Ida Cox Green Miller...... where are they in 1910. I find Velma, the daughter in Springfield, Mo with husband and children in 1930. in 1910 where are they??? thanks, nadine Notify Administrator about this message?
