Hey Phyl,
Thought I'd share a message with you that I just received
Hello, Saundra I'm glad to hear from you. No, I've never met you, but I have a curious story that I'd like to pass on to you. There was a Catherine Triplett b.1825, who was born in Chester Co., South Carolina . She married and Andrew Jackson Triplett (Son of Charner William Triplett). Both of these people died in Mississippi, she in 1860 and he in 1882.
In abt. 1756, there was a John (b. abt. 1728) Triplett who was married to a "Lettice" no last name. When his father died all of John's brothers and sisters fell heir to their father's land. except for John, who only was mentioned in the will, to get a "token" sum. Since Lettice, didn't have a surname, before marriage, I have assumed that it was a marriage that John's father didn't approve of. By the way his father's name was Francis Triplett who married Elizabeth Browne.
There was a Charner William Triplett was b.1792 in S.C., He married Mary Marguerite Atkinson and she was b. in S.C, but died in 1874 in Noxubee Co., Mississippi.
Then there was a Nimrod Duncan Triplett b. 1793 in S.C. and died in 1861 in Winston Co., Mississippi. He married Dorothy Moore, she also died in Winston co.,Miss.
All of this leads me to believe that there is a connection between your Tripletts and Mine. I hope this helps, more than confuses you. This whole Triplett bunch, has me running in circles. Well, let me hear from you, Take care, Dory There is a copy of the Will of Francis Triplett3 on this message board. It was posted by Deborah Parks.
