You were so close and so helpful. Thank you again for sending the information and all your help.
The parents of the 5 children was Emile P. Albert (son of Nicholas and Anna Hoin) born in Kentucky and Susannah Smarr, whose sister married a Philipson. Several nights ago, I sent an e-mail to my friend and suggested that her GG Grandmother was not a Philipson and perhaps the GG Grandfather was not born in France as she was led to believe. Sure enough it was the truth.
