I think that the Jefferson D. Sparks of Metcalfe Co, KY that Topper found is still in KY in 1900. There's a Jefferson D. Sparks in 1900 Metcalfe Co, KY who was born in 1858 in KY. That Sparks is actually part of my Sparks line. His name was Jefferson Dudley Sparks. The family history I have says he eventually moved to Texas. His father, Josiah Sparks, was a brother of my gggrandmother, Eliza Jane Sparks Compton.
Our library has a set of the Sparks Family Association quarterly. The next time I'm there I'll look to see if there's anything on your Jefferson Davis Sparks.
