Jefferson Davis Sparks married Mary Louisa Bray and there oldest child was born in 1887. The 1880 census could be the right time.
They had 5 kids:
Mary T
Tom
Till - probably Matilda
Lauretta
Violet
Mary and Till both lived their lives out in Kansas and Missouri. Tom moved to Saskatchewan Canada, Lauretta moved to Alberta aound 1915 and I believe her parents and younger sister Violet came at the same time. I have Jefferson Davis passing in Mirror Alberta in 1939 but only have a birth month of January in Missouri.
Mary married a Mr. Martin and had three children - Nathan, Norman and Nadean.
Tom was married a couple times and his first wife, Amy Ford had three children with him, Chester, Louise amd Thelma.
Lauretta married John Elsner and had three kids, Elaine, John Lawrence (My father) and Ethel.
And Violet married John Clark and had one kid Harris. She died in Calgary Alberta
