Just alittle more data to add to your collection:

Deer Lodge County, Montana, 1896 Anaconda City Directory
Given Name: George
Surname: Lindoff
Occupation or Business: master mechanic M U Railway
Address: rooms east Commercial avenue north east corner Adams

I this is the same George Lindoff whos family ends up in Washington.......I found the wife & kids on the 1892 Washington, King Co census if you need that. I also think I found George Lindoff on the 1880 MIN census.

Have you checked the Historical or Genealogical Societies in King Co, WA??? I would think there would be mention of his death somewhere locally. Just a thought.

And could this be his app for citizenship?
Minnesota Naturalization Records Index, 1854-1957
Name: George Lindoff
County: Clay
Reel: 1
Code: 1
Volume: 1
Page: 489
Document Type: Declaration of Intention
Years: 1872 -1888
Numbers: 1-621

Good luck in your search,
Marsha
