Al I'm glad you enjoyed the sites. I've found them SO very interesting and you can find lots more than just at GOOGLE.
My gggggrandfather Standley lived there until 1810-11 then moved on Arkansas.Benedicts moved in 1819 from the New Madrid area to Arkansas, so maybe I should search St. Genevieve for them. Many books contain information from the Territorial Papers...."Missouri Territory" and "Louisiana Territory". Lots of people don't even realize there were territories like the above. This is much needed information for genealogists. I don't know what names you are searching for...if you let me know I can keep my eye out for them in my searches.Enjoy digging~!!!
