Only six records show up for Malenberg, if that is the name you are researching, on the 1880 US Census, mostly in California. One in Kansas, one in Utah. Robert was adopted as a boy of four by the Akers family, which could be found on the 1930 census if you ask a request for that and give a state where he was living. But finding the original birth record before adoption will be difficult if you don't already own it, as sometimes the natural parents were denied any access, and the adoptive parents names were placed on the birth certificates. How did you find out that the gentleman was named Malenberg? Perhaps you have his original birth record? Notify Administrator about this message?
