Help needed in Kansas City MO

My great ggrandfather, Hugh Henry Harper died in Kansas City MO in 1890. I understand this city in in three counties. Can anyone help me find the cemetery where he is buried?? Is there a library with cemetera records? His wife and children were living in Madison Co, Ohio at the time and I cant figure out what he was doing there. Thank you.
