I am in search of information about Nelson Guinnip. Married Mary Elizabeth Willis b @1852 in IN, disappeared before 1900, married Nelson B. Guinepp 6/19/1881 in Tuscumbia, Miller County, MO. Children Charles Evert and Sidney Alonzo.
Nelson was gone from Miller County by 1900 as well, leaving the two boys with Mary's parents.
I have Nelson in Michigan on the 1860 census in Eaton County. His family later went to Clark County, IL but there is no mention of him anywhere else.
He paid personal property tax in Miller County up until the 1887 bill came due, which was left unpaid.
Family story is Mary died shortly after Sidney (Lon) was born and Nelson was murdered or returned to his people.
He is my gr-grandfather.
If anyone has any information, no matter how sketchy, about Nelson, I would appreciate hearing it.
