WILLARD D. ARCHIE, SIDNEY. - Member of the State Highway Commission, was
born in Graniteville, Mo., July 13, 1895. Moved to Corning when four years of
age, attended public schools there and graduated in the class of 1915.
Attended Simpson College, Indianola, two years, 1916 and 1917. Served in World War
as member of battery C., 339th F. A., enlisting September, 1917, and
discharged as second lieutenant, F. A., April, 1919. Captain of Co. "K," 168th
infantry, Iowa national guard, from 1920 to 1927. At present in automobile
business in Sidney. Affiliated with Presbyterian church, Masonic lodge, A. T. O.
fraternity, and American Legion. Married and has two children, David and
Louise. A republican.
