Green and Logan are nor very close to each other. Researchers have scoured Green County and can find no Daltons there.
I think it is rather well proved that Benjamin who married Nancy Raybourn was the grandfather of the "Dalton gang". Researchers cannot prove back further, however.
These were thew children of John Elijah and Seannah (Sebastian) Dalton -
William 1796, David 1803, Lewis James 1815 or 1821-22 ??
John Peter 1805, Sarah, all born Ky. Mariah Elmira (m. Joseph eel) and Dinah , both born in Tenn. (Jackson and Overton counties). I find nothing on Lewis James.
In Logan County, there was this marriage - 5 Aug 1819 - William Dalton married Sally Crisel. Sounds like your Wm.
Note some of the dates you gave for Wm.'s children do not jive for a Wm. born 1796.
Some say Jeremiah had twelve children (???). I have only nine so far.
