Obituary: Frank O. McEndree

FRANK O. MCENDREE was born in Brown's County, Indiana, Dec. 25, 1846, and
died at his home in Chariton Dec. 19, 1906. He moved with parents near
Downing, Mo., when but five years of age, where he resided until the death
of his parents in 1863. He then came to Lucas County in 1866, where he has
continued to reside.
He was married to ROSETTA BUDD, Feb. 26, 1871. To this union were born ten
children, five daughters and five sons, three daughters and one son dying in
infancy. Those surviving are ED M., of Cedar Rapids; MRS. OLLIE JOHNSON, of
Sterling, Colo.; JAMES, LEROY, HARRIS and FERN, all of Chariton.
He had been a constant sufferer for the past two years with anemia and other
complications but bore his suffering with great fortitude. He was an honest
and upright citizen and was highly respected by all who knew him. Funeral
services will be held at the home Friday at 2:30 p.m., under the direction
of the A.O.W.A. of which he was a worthy member, conducted by Rev. Evans of
the M.E. Church; interment in Chariton Cemetery.
