My great grandfather was James Cromer, born 1848 in Franklin County. His father was Martin Cromer and mother, Frances Jameson (Jamison) Cromer. Trying to determine where Martin Cromer descended. Martin died in 1852 in Franklin Cty. Also understand that Martin lived in Indiana before 1830. James married V.E. Armstrong in 1870 and moved to TX sometime after that. Have sources that quote Lewis and Chesley (Chesney) were brothers but don't have proof yet. If you can help me fill in the gaps, I would be "beholden" to you.
