Looking for anyone who may have any info on Gilmour Fischer Griffith Sr and Amy Ruth Spray Griffith that died in a plane crash in lometa texas on 12/11/1949. Gilmour was from Pa his mother was lillian griffith not sure about her maiden name or her other married name but lillian married a man named john griffith. Mr griffith adopted and raised gilmour as his own. Amy's parents were samuel and florence Spray. Sam passed on not for sure when, but Florence then remarried to a man named bristo and then he passed away and then again she remarried to man named ballinger then she passed in the 1980's in goldthwaite and buried in lometa ,texas. Gilmour and Amy had 3 children :gilmour fischer jr ,trudy ann, and clark kenneth(whom is my father-n-law) when their parents died ,amys parents raised the children. Florence and Lillian wrote back and worth to each other for years until one or the other passed away. Neither one of the familes from texas nor Pa contacted each other after the letters stopped and i have started doing research for my husbands family and i have unanswered questions. I believe my father n law told me that gilmour and amy lived in brownwood aka george and he supposely was a mechanic working on planes. My husband is steven griffith from comanche texas and he is the son of clark and brenda griffith of goldthwaite
