I am doing my own genealogy as well as that of my childrens father. His maternal Grandfather (Dave Wardean) was adopted by his great grandmothers third husband (Francis Wardean). Dave's mother told him only that his real father was Bernard McCord from East St. Louis MS. He was born in Detroit in 08-22-1940 or 1941. She couldnt tell him the true date. He may have been the child of an affair. I am not sure if she was married at the time. So if anyone anywhere has knowledge of a Bernard McCord in this time frame, in either area, please let me know. Her name was Blanche. Husband at the time was a man named ? Curtis. Her second husband was Fred HOwland, and then Francis. Any help or leads are greatly appreciated. This man may not have even known that this child existed. Dave is alive and really wants to find his father before its too late. There is still that possiblity that Bernard McCord is still alive.
