I’m looking for ancestors, descendants and other relatives of Frederick Herman STEUCK, b 17 Jul 1863 in
Germany, d 18 Feb 1927 in Papinville, Bates Co., Mo., m Apr 1889 in Marysville, Marshall County, Kan., to
Rosetta MOSER, b 18 May 1869 in Bern Canton (District), Switzerland, d 12 Jun 1952 in Rich Hill, Bates Co.,
Mo. They had three sons: Frederick “Fritz”, b 15 Apr 1890 in Marysville; Gustave Herman, b 31 Jan 1892 in
Harwood, Vernon Co., Mo.; Ernest William, b 21 Jul 1894 in Harwood. In a newspaper obit, Frederick Herman
was reported born in PECTIN, Germany, and emigrated as a teenager I have two different family suggestions
where Pectin could be -- in West Prussia, now in Poland, or near Pilsen in the Czech Republic. His parents are
believed to have been Carl Steuck, b abt 1839 in Germany, and Elizabeth RODKIE, b abt 1840 in Germany. His
1927 obit reported he left brothers Fritz in St. Joseph, Mo., Gustave in Germany, William M. in Kansas City,
Mo., and Carl Ferdinand (m Helen FOX) in Nevada, Mo.; sisters Carlene in Germany and Emma S. (m
BRAUNLICH) in Kansas City, Mo.; and an unnamed brother and sister in Germany.
