WINFREY Family: NC?> TN>MO>: 1700's- ????

I am looking for information on James WINFREY (bn 1810) the husband of Wilky/Milky SMOTHERS. It is possible that George WINFREY who was living in Rutherford County, NC Could be his father. There is a George Winfrey living in Coffee County in the 1840 Census. This may have been his father. The 1850 CCTC says that there may have been several Winfrey's living in Coffee County. There is a George, Nancy, Alfred, Racheal, Henry, and James.

I would like to find out if this all the same family?

James and Milky/Wilky had the following children all believe to be born in Tennessee: Mary (bn 1831), George (bn 1832), Henry Clayborn ( bn.1836), Jane Winfrey (bn. 1838) , Martha (bn 1840, Nancy Rebeeca Ann (bn bet. 1842-1844), John (bn. 1847) Samuel "Polk" (bn.1848) and James K. (bn. 1858). Most of the members of this family had some kind of nickname.

I am looking for more information on these children too?

Also in the 1870 Coffee County Tennessee Census it has a Wiley Ratley living with them

I would like to know what his connection is with them?

Most of this family moved on to Missouri. Any information would be appreciated. Spelling of names may vary. Thanks in advance.

Jackie
Surnames: PATE, SMOTHERS, EARP, NORVELL, SHERWOOD, BEVERLY AND MAYES and various spellings of these names.
