John, some of this is probably a repeat of what you already have-but passing the information along in conjunction with your latest Civil War letter regarding Joesephine Ramey, b. ca. 1847; Lyford Ramey, b. ca. 1845 and Sarah A. Rundell.

1880 Erie Township, McDonald County, Missouri
Lyford Ramey, 33, MO, MO, NY
Caroline Ramey, 22, MO, OH, OH
Laurence Ramey, 2, MO, MO, MO
Ralph Ramey, 8/12, MO, MO, MO
Joseph Ramey, 76, father, MO
Eliza Ramey, 75, mother, NY
Margaret Testerman, 57, m-I-law, OH

Lyford H. Ramey and Caroline P. Testerman married February 13, 1876 in McDonald County, Missouri.
Source: McDonald County, Missouri marriages, Book A. Married at residence of bride’s father.

Caroline P. Testerman is the daughter of Abraham Testerman, b. 12 April 1811, North Carolina, and Margaret Buzzard, born March 3, 1818, Ohio. Abraham came to Missouri in 1833 and settled on Elk River and married Margaret in 1837-said to be the 1st marriage in county.

1900 Erie Township, McDonald County, Missouri
Carrie Ramey, Widow, born August 1856, MO, NC, OH
Ralph Ramey, 20, b. Sept 1879, MO
Lois Ramey,(female) 17, b. Nov 1882, MO
Bessie Ramey, 15, b. Oct 1884, MO (MO State Archives: born October 6, 1884)
Orville Ramey, 13, b. Aug 1886, MO
Jettis (male) Ramey, 11, b. March 1889, MO

Note: Son Laurence present in the 1880 census is gone-possibly deceased. In the 1900 census Carrie states that 5 of her 7 children are living-i.e.-Ralph, Lois, Bessie, Orville, and Jettis.

Caroline married a man by the name of RANDOLF (German name) who left her a widow by the 1910 census.

1910 Granby Township, Newton County, Missouri
Caroline Randolpin, 52, Widow, MO, NC, OH
Orvel Ramey, 22, single, MO, MO, MO
Lettie Testerman, 20, Widow, MO, MO, MO

Caroline Randolf died April 14, 1912; the death certificate (Missouri State Archives-On Line) states that
her parents are Abraham Testerman and Margaret Buzard (misspelled), with the informant being Louis Shute of Neosho, Newton Co., MO. Burial: Granby, Newton Co., MO.

Son Ralph Ramey married Goldie Artena Williams, daughter of Amos Williams and Mattie Lawson. Ralph Washington Ramey, born September 25, 1880, died December 4, 1943, aged 63 years, 2 months, 9 days, wife Goldie, father Lyford Ramey, mother Carrie Testerman. When wife Goldie died December 8, 1952, the informant on the death certificate was Floyd Ramey. Both Ralph and Goldie died in Kansas City, Missouri, and are buried in Elmwood Cemetery.

Did son Lyford Orville Ramey live in Kansas City, Missouri before moving to Kansas?
There is a Lifford Ramey in Kansas City 1920 census

1920 15-WD, Kansas City, Missouri, KAW
Lifford O Ramey, 33, MO, Iron Factory Moulder
wife, Therle Ramey, 24, MO
Eva M. Ramey, 6, MO
Voyage C. Ramey, 4 6/12, MO (married Dorothy Lusk in Kansas City)
