Hi Don, my G.Grandfather David Morris married Nancy Godfrey in Vernon Co. Mo. in 1876. Nancy was the daughter of Thomas Godfrey and Mary Owen Godfrey. They lived in Pettis Co. before the Civil War. Thomas, his brothers John and Abram all came from Ky. My Morris' ended up in McDonald Co. altho David and Nancy died in Vernon about 1896. I had noticed the other Godfrey's in McDonald and have always wondered if there was some connection. I have from a lady that these Godfreys were pioneers of Pettis Co. Do my Godfrey's tie anywhere into your line? Thanks so much, Linda
