Consider looking in Barry County Records. McDonald was not a county in 1836, nor was Newton. If any record exists, it likely would be in Barry Co., or across the line in Arkansas. So many records in these early years just didn't exist. I found some of my Newton Co. people showing up in Barry Co. for this exact reason~~
