Leroy Charles Mitchell
Leroy Charles Mitchell of Lompoc, CA. was born on June 20, 1931 in Hannibal, Mo. has left us for the comfort of Heaven on October 1, 2009.
Mitch joined the National Guard on November 3, 1947. He later enlisted in the Air Force on September 9, 1949. After 25 years of service he retired at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. After his dedicated duty for our country he enjoyed another career with the Santa Barbara Sheriff Department from August 11, 1975 to December 30, 1990.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at The Queen of the Angels Church on Monday, October 12, 2009 at 10:00am. Refreshments will follow the Mass in the Parish Hall. A private burial service will be held for the family. Out of respect for the family we ask that you save your condolences for after the ceremony so they may grieve in peace.
