FECHTER, EVERETT J. Passed away in Calistoga, August 7, 2000. Dearly beloved husband of 56 years of Hilde Fechter. Loving father of Karen Opel, Ernie Fechter, Janis Zeugin and her husband Harvey, Dave Fechter and his wife Marquerite, Juli Fechter, Russ Fechter, and Robin Fechter. Dear brother of Milton Fechter and Ruby Campbell. Adored grandfather of 13. A native of Calistoga, age 74 years. Mr. Fechter is a veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marines. He is a member of the American Legion, Post #231, Calistoga, the National Rifle Association, and the Diamond Walnut Association. Mr. Fechter was the manager and director of the North Coast Walnut Association, and served as Assistant Chief and Chief of the Mountain Volunteer Fire Department for over 25 years. Friends are invited to attend Memorial Services on Sunday, August 13, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at the DANIELS CHAPEL OF THE ROSES. Inurnment, Santa Rosa Memorial Park. If desired, donations in memory of Mr. Fechter may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1451 Guerneville Road, Santa Rosa, CA 95403, or Hospice of Napa Valley, 3299 Claremont Way, Napa, CA 94558.
