According to some information I have there was a large migration of people out to Colordao after 1900 from Madison County. The air was supposed to be "cleaner & clearer" and TB was supposed to be rampant in Madison County at the time.
Also a great many mines existed Colorado so those who were involved in mining could get a job out there. However a great many families in 1912 (I think) rented a train and moved their families out to Colorado. In the Montrose/Delta area. Most of this group was from around Buckhorn, or near the Wayne Co. line.
