Hi Everyone!
I am doing research on a book about the 9th Cavalry MO State Militia (Union). They were headquartered in Macon city along with the HdQ of the Military District of Northeast Missouri (district name changed several times).
Anyway, little is known about the war in Macon County. I would like to keep this book balanced between N/S views. If you would like to contribute something, please add bibliographic information, so that I can attempt to verify it. If it is a family story, say so. I am also a genealogist...I might be able to find more on your ancestor's involvement.
Please include your own name, address, and email. If you have related photos, send a description and if I am interested we can discuss copyright permission. Please don't send photo attachments unless asked to. Publishers don't allow many photos, so I will be forced to limit the number I consider. The publisher will make the final decision on which photos are used.
