Still seeking info on George Simon (s) & wife Celia (Reger) Simon (s) who lived in North Salem Township during the 1870 census. Feel they probably both passed on right after 1870 but at least by 1872. Two of their daughters lived in Meadville (during this time period), so possibility that they moved there (right after census) due to their advanced age, but only guessing. I have checked and double checked cemeteries in both areas and have found NO RECORD. On the 1870 census, Celia's name is spelled wrong (Sela), also 2 of their sons are listed: Jacob & Abram (Abraham). Surname has often been spelled wrong too but SIMON is correct spelling (have seen it Simons, Simmons, Simone, etc). Jacob married in 1872 and eventually moved to Carterville . . . but NO RECORD of George and/or Celia ever living in Carterville. Abram ended up in NE with his own family. Another daughter lived in KS. The other two daughters remained in Meadville and are buried there. Perhaps their graves are "unmarked" . . . ??? If their names "ring any bells", please reply. Thanks.
