Hello and thank you so much for your reply.
I know about Mary. I have her death certificate but surname is listed WRONG . . . Simmons. Surname was SIMON or perhaps SIMONS but never Simmons. Mary never married and died of some sort of heart problem. She was probably ill all her short life. Letha I know about too. Have much info on her. Her husband and my great grandfather (Letha's brother) were very good friends, fought in the Civil War together. Her grave has not been found. Did you actually locate her stone or see her listed at Bethel??? Same for Mary???
There was no sister named Amelia . . . there was a brother Abram or Abraham tho, also Jacob who was my great grandfather. Then a brother John and another sister called Permelia Rebecca. Perhaps in 1880 she was calling herself Amelia . . . as she did live in KS . . . ???
I've looked "high and low" for George & Celia and found nothing after 1870. On the 1870 census for Linn Co, it indicates that the value of his real estate was $1000, so I must assume he owned his farm.
Thanks again. Joyce
