Gerald, I would appreciate very much any help on finding any info that may be in these books of the History of Linn Co., MO on my gr gr grandfather, Stokley/Stokely Manus who was b. in TN, was in 1840 and 1850 TN Census, after 1850, he, wife and some of their children migrated to MO, they are listed in 1860 Township 59, Range 21, Linn Co., MO Census as:: Stakly Manes, head, age 56, laborer, b. in TN, Susan age 56, b. in VA, Stakley age 17, laborer, b. in TN, William age 15, laborer, b. in TN, Elizabeth age 13, b. in TN, and Samuel age 11 b. in TN.
Post Office: Linneus Roll: M653_630 page 152 done July 20, 1860 This is the last Census that he is listed in, Susanah, his wife is listed in 1870 Census with daug Elizabeth and son-in-law Gool Myers. Stokley is and has been my "brick wall" for years for info for his parents and siblings.
