John Holland

I'm hoping to confirm that my John T. Holland is the John Thomas Holland who is the son of Col. John Holland and Elizabeth Woolridge (Wooldridge).

My John T. Holland was born 14 April 1837 in Mo. Both of his parents, per census data, were born in Virginia. John T. Holland is located in Idaho no later than 1872. Joseph E. Holland, a confirmed son of Col. John & Elizabeth, removed to Idaho in 1865.

Col. John Holland arrived in Linn County in 1834 from Virginia. Col. John and Elizabeth had the following children:

William H. (md. Eliza Sternes)
Mary Susan (md. Henry Grill)
Sarah Elizabeth
Ann Virginia (md. Robert Hoyle)
Martha (b. abt 1833, d. abt 1851)
John Thomas (b. abt 1837)
Mildred (b. abt 1838)
John Edward (b. abt 1841)

Col. John's wife, Elizabeth Woolridge, died in 1841. Col. John was remarried in 1844 to Elizabeth Relph. Col. John died in 1855.

Any help that could be offered would be appreciated as the parents of John T. Holland is a brick wall I've been trying to knock down for years.

Brian
