In the 1870 Linn Co., MO, Brookfield twp. pg. 260 is found:
MILLER, Jacob P. 61 laborer b. PA
Catherine 63, keeping house b. PA
BEATY, William A. 54, carpenter b. OH
Lucy Ann 42, keeping house, b. OH
(Lucy Ann was possibly born Lucy Ann Jones and m. (1) a Mr.
Norris and (2) Wm. A. Beaty). I say this because Lucy Ann
Norriss and her son, Joseph A. Norris are in the 1880 census
in Putnam County, MO and she and Wm Beaty have split (he's in Oregon and she has returned to using the Norris name. Also living with Lucy and her son, Joseph,in the 1880 Putnam MO census is a woman, Nancy Jones said to be her mother).
Continuing the 1870 Linn Co, MO census we find:
Ruth H. 16, b Iowa
Norris, Malison?, 14, (f) b. MO
Norris, Joseph A., 10, b. MO
BEATY, John 16, b. OH (my gr. grandfather)
Does anyone have a clue as to how the Miller's are perhaps connected to either Wm. A. Beaty or his wife, Lucy Ann -
possibly Jones - Norris - Beaty? Is Mrs Miller perhaps a
sister of Lucy Ann? If I hadn't found Lucy Ann in the 1880 census mentioned above, I would suspect the Millers to be
her parents, but....???
Here's hoping someone out there can point me in the right
direction! (:>) Thank you.
