Palmyra, MO ó The children of Marvin and Georgia Frankenbach are inviting the community to help them celebrate the 60th wedding anniversary of their parents. A reception in their honor will be from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26, at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra.
Georgia L. Brown, daughter of the late Rob and Christie Wilson Brown, and Marvin Frankenbach, son of the late Carl and Ella Bode Frankenbach, were united in marriage on Oct. 24, 1948, at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Hannibal, with the Rev. J.A. Fischer officiating.
Their attendants were Doris Hehmeyer, Bertha Frankenbach, Irene Schachtsiek, Leslie Frankenbach, Donald Brown and Jack Hehmeyer. Their ring bearer and flower girl were Lowell and Gloria Schachtsiek.
The couple are the parents of Connie (Glenn) Schade of Grandview, Mo., Kevin (Sue) Frankenbach of Hannibal, Ross (Donna) Frankenbach of Palmyra, and Marla (David) Armes of Camdenton, Mo. They are the proud grandparents of Adam Frankenbach of Jefferson City, Blake Frankenbach of Columbia, Clinton Frankenbach and Sean Frankenbach of Palmyra, Christie Frankenbach of Grandview, Mo., and Edawna and Lainie Armes of Camdenton, Mo.
Marvin and Georgia were active farmers in the West Ely area where they attend Immanuel Lutheran Church. Marvin has been active in the community, having sat on the board of the Palmyra State Bank and retired last year from the board of the REC after 40 years.
The family requests that you celebrate with them in the form of a card shower to honor Marvin and Georgia on 60 years of marriage.
