Noted your interest in Ragan families. I know you have had contact with Suzi Kicker who has postings for our mutual Spencer Ragan (1766-1851) who came to Morgan Co, Il from Fayette Co, Ky. I find in the 1880 census for Lewis Co, Mo a Wm S Ragan (41, Il) living two doors from David Ragan (71, Ky) and Nancy (Jones, 66, Ky) Ragan. I assume Wm S is a son of David & Nancy. David was a son of Spencer Ragan and a brother to Henry Harrison Ragan born c1813. In the 1880 census I find a Henry H Ragan (born c1813) residing in Lincoln, Lucas, Iowa. A wife Nancy and a son Daniel living in the same houshold fit the ages for the wife and son of Henry in the 1850 Morgan census. My wife is a descendant of Spencer (and Elizabeth) through daughter, Mary Ann, who married William Taylor in Fayette and moved to Morgan County Il about 1831. Have you been able to clarify whether Henry ever lived in Lewis County?
