Mary's sister Ellen was my gggrandmother. Are you sure that Rebecca is Mary's daughter? The reason I ask is because of the 1880 Lewis County Census. In that census, Mary, her children, Ellen and Rebecca are all living with Elizabeth Brumbaugh (Mary's mom) Ellen is listed as a mulatto who was born in MO. Rebecca is listed as a mulatto whose mother was born in MO. Mary is listed as white and born in OH. I have been trying to determine the race of Ellen and if the census has the correct info. it could be possible that Rebecca is Ellen's daughter. Any info you have would be appreciated. Thanks Melissa
