Since it pertains to a person's medical history, I wonder if they are allowed to give out that information. I would assume that the patient records are housed within the county archives. Mt. Vernon is in Lawrence County, and Elmhurst @ Webb City would be in Jasper County. The records could possibly be stored on site. The Webb City Sanitorium is now a nursing home, and the Mt. Vernon one is now a Veterans Home.
