There is a MO Death Certificate for an E. L. Holland buried in Pierce City Cemetery dated 1938. He is the son of a A. J. Holland of Kentucky. Above the initial "E" is hand written the name "Elcain". Could this be your Elkanah Hollon? He was 93 yrs old and his spouse was named Maude Holland?

You can filter your search by surname, given name, County and year or just type your surname to get all files.

Robin Carnahan, MO Secretary of State has posted MO Death Certificates Index on line and made available viewing the Death Certificates themselves 'FREE'.

Go to then click on "Geneaology & History", then open Archived Electronic Databases and scroll down to Missouri Death Index 1910-1960. By next year or so, all 1961 Death Certificates should be available for viewing PDF files.

Happy Hunting!
