I have hit a brick wall and hope someone can help me locate the date of death or place of burial for my ggg-grandparents Joseph Means & Elizabeth (Cravens) Means. Joseph Means born about 1789 in North Carolina - son of William Means Married Elizabeth A. Cravens Feb 23, 1809, Christian Co KY. Children were: Absalom, Robert, Finis, James, Eliza, Joseph, Mary In 1850, Joseph & Elizabeth were living in Cass County MO. I haven't located them on any 1860 census, but did find sons Robert Means and Joseph jr Means in Lawrence co. Joseph jr dies that year. 1870 Lawrence Co MO census-house #202 - Elizabeth is a widow & has daughter Mary Means living with her (Mt Pleasant twp). 1880 Lawrence Co MO census-House #477- Elizabeth is still living and listed as 90 years old. Daughters: Mary Means and Eliza Casteel(who is also listed as widow)are living with her. Since Elizabeth is at this advanced age, I am guessing she didn't live much longer, and would have died in Lawrence co. I would greatly appreciate any help or unique ideas locating their final resting place and when they died. Notify Administrator about this message?
