I am searching for information on to Aurora, Missouri families from the early to mid 1900’s
John and Sarah “Smith” Mooney and Lee and Minnie “Smith” Trilby.
Minnie Smith was raised in Aurora by John and Sarah Mooney.
Lee and Minnie “Smith” Trilby adopted two children,
a girl and a boy. I have been told the boy had bright red hair. I believe the children's names to be Barbara and Clovis. One source lists the boy’s name as Doris. I think he was probably named Clovis.
Lee Trilby was a plumber in Aurora in the 1950's
Minnie was born 1897 and died 1969. She had a bad leg and some times used a crutch..
I think Barbara may have married Walter Smith. I do not know if Walter was related to Sarah and Minnie Smith
If my information is right two children were born to Barbara and Walter. I believe their names were Debbie and Randy.
I have some pictures I believe to be Lee and Minnie Trilby and their adopted children.
If some one may remember this family and could possible identify these pictures I would be so grateful.
I know this is thinking far back to remember them but if any one could advise me of where there may be pictures of old settlers or any source of early families in Aurora I would be so thankful.
The Mooney's, Trilby.s and Smith’s are buried in Aurora.
Sarah [Smith] Mooney was my great Aunt.
Thanks for your time and any advice you can share.
Have a good evening Goldie “Smith” Ernst
