Greg, Marionville, MO is in Buck Prairie Township of Lawrence County, MO. and Lawrence County was established in May 1845 from Barry, Dade and Greene Counties. Lawrence County's Court House is located in Mount Vernon, Mo. which is on I-44 between Joplin to the wast and Springfield, MO. to the east. Marionville has an Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery according to my Lawrence County Historical Society's pubs. Mother and Father of your Charles Richard Allen are E. Allen and Hannap P Allen who are also buried at Marionville's IOOF. Hannah P was born Plattsburgh, NY and died 12 April 1886, age 80 yrs, 6 mos, 28 days. She is buried in the Old Old Part or original Marionville City Cemetery area. Note includes "Stone on ground broken") Block 5, Old Part, Lot 51 Allen, Charles R C A 2d Ill Cav. no dates Olive J. 16 Aug 1846 d 8 Nov 1931 w/o C. R. Allen The informant on your death certificate was listed as Mrs. C R (Charles Richard) Allen of Marionville. There are Land Deeds, Civil War and other allied websites on this site of the Secretary of State. There was a burial for a "Laura Allen" also found in the Marionville IOOF Cemetery listings.
