Julie, I was at the library in Mount Vernon (the County seat for Lawrence County) the other day, looking for info on my ggggrandfather, Benjamin Hunt.
While I was there, I saw the name William Hunt several times. I don't remember exactly what it was, since there were several Hunts living in the Pierce City area in the mid 1800s-early 1900s.
I am assuming all the Hunts I found are related to my Benjamin.
I do know that William was closely related to the other Hunts that I found.
While I am thinking about it, I found an old tombstone in the Pierce City Cemetary that reads "W C Hunt, born London England (1800s), died Pierce City 1887".
I am assuming the "W C" is William C, but was unable to find out anything. Anyway, while searching for William C, I found lots for William Arnold. I also searched ancestry. com and got a hit for your William Arnold.
Hope this helps more than it confuses! lol
