My Armstrongs moved from Illinois to Missouri between 1867 and 1868. The family appears on the 1860 Warren County, Lenox Township, IL census and then the 1870 Lawrence County, Spring River Township, MO census. They include William, Fannie (Annie), Thomas, George, Edward, Alfred,Richard, John, Oscar. Rosa and Allice were born in MO about 1868 and 1869. I would very much like to track down the death information on William and Fannie. Wm is not on the 1880 census. The family eventually settled in Monett. John was a grocer and had the Armstong General Store in Monett. My aunt Wilma Armstrong, John's daughter, married John Boucher. They eventually settled in St. Joe and raised my father, Robert Armstrong, who was born in Monett. His mother died shortly after he was born in 1925.
