Allens of 1850 Lawrence County

Brothers Samuel(unmarried), Thomas(unmarried), and Josiah Allen (married Elizabeth Stark in Greene Co., Illinois, 1829), moved to Lawrence County in the late 1840's. The brothers were all born in Davidson Co., Tennessee to Thomas Allen(b.1766, Rowan Co., North Carolina) and Margery (Bryan) Allen, b.1768 in Rowan County. Margery was granddaughter of Morgan Bryan and first cousin to Rebecca Bryan who married Daniel Boone.

The brothers moved from Greene County, Illinois to Lawrence Co., Missouri. I believe many of Josiah's children moved to Palo Pinto Co., Texas by the 1860's.

I read in GOODSPEED'S biographies of Lawrence County the names L.W. Allen, Sampson Russell Allen, Lemuel W. Allen,
Thomas Allen,Sr. and Thomas Allen, Jr. I believe they are somehow related to my Allens because their biographies mention associated names (Dougherty, Davidson)and an associated church, Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Does anyone have any information associating these two Allen families; also, has anyone researched the birthplace and father of Thomas Allen, Sr. mentioned under Lemuel Allen in GOODSPEED'S 1888 HISTORY OF LAWRENCE COUNTY?

Thank you for any information.
