Louise Hubbard b 28 Nov 1859 d 26 Aug 1933 is buried in Block 8, Marionville IOOF Cemetery, Lawrence Co. MO

The Secretary of State for Missouri , Robin Carnahan, has a website and listed Missouri Deaths on line and FREE! The link is Death Certificates 1910-1956 under "Genealogy & History Archives" found on this URL:

All Missouri recorded Deaths from 1910 to 1930 and some counties through 1956 are transcribed and viewable on line. Those Deaths recorded after 1931 to 1956 are waiting to be transcribed as volunteers are completing this year by year. You can find the parents to your ancestors, where they were born, cause of death, how long treated by Physician and place of burial!
You can also get all the Hubbards found in the State of Missouri or just those in Lawrence and surrounding counties but you are able to filter for just 1 County.

I did find a William A Hubbard with biography in the Lawrence COunty "Red" book, pg 93 (published 1974 and on CD). It mentioned he was kidnapped by a Mr Griggs and taken to Illinois where another man found him later as an abused child and returned him at 15 yrs old to Lawrence County. He was basically self educated. If you want this information send me an e-mail at

Where some of these older Cemeteries have missing death dates or broken headstones, you can check their name against the Missouri Death Certificates site and locate a death date.

Lawrence County Historical Society, P O Box 406 Mt Vernon, 65712 has all Cemeteries published for all the townships in 9 volumes. See their website for a listing of individual books for Marriages, Deaths and published Censuses.

Your Lucinda Hubbard is buried Mt Olive Cemetery, 3 Miles North of Marionville on Hwy 14 at McKinley.

Hope this helps!
