Goodness, feel like I should hire you. Thank you for the Horn references and research suggestions. Appreciate the information.

Have to confess that I checked out what you have posted on message boards. Very impressive. Particularly your message in spanish to the Downing descendent in Nicarauga. Did you know that there is a wonderful collection of letters written by the descendents of James Downing who settled in Lawrence County. The letters (photocopies of the originals) are part of the Western Manuscript Collection at the University of Missouri, Rolla Campus. You can check out the holdings on line. Spent a week this spring reading the ones writen by Whinreys and Whinrey relatives. William Whinrey, son of Jane Likins Whinrey and Joseph Whinrey of Greene Co Tn, married Elizabeth Ruhama Downing, daughter of James.

Anyway it is a great collection.

Again, appreciate all of the help. Thank you.
