Best guess is they are buried at Goss Cemetery, just south of Phelps or ~6 miles northwest of Mt. Vernon.

"William R. Gibson
Phelps. MO Lawrence Chieftain 24 March 1938
William R. Gibson, who had been in ill health for several weeks, died early last Thursday morning, March 15th, at his home at Phelps.
He was 72 years of age. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Fannie Waller and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Phelps Church, Rev. George Johnson officiating. Burial was made in the Goss Cemetery."
